Book Recommendations on Housekeeping, Home-Ec, through a Witchcraft Framework [trigger warning]
some context (ptsd): i've got a lot of ptsd around certain kinds of chores from my home life growing up which has made it hard to develop and maintain positive housekeeping habits. chores were often framed as a punishment, something the whole family had to gather and be miserable together while we did them. my dad was often physically violent whenever i would do a chore inadequately or insufficiently, and it was drilled into me all the time how i was lazy and if my parents weren't there to force me to do work for them i would live in squalor.
i'm looking for books to help me learn basic housekeeping information (things like, how do you get rid of mold, snake a drain, etc.) but in a way that can help me build a new relationship with such work. witchcraft was one of my escapes as a kid and i continue to practice today. i think learning housekeeping tasks through the framework of rituals to appease household spirits, channel positive energy, practical spells and potions, etc. would help me immensely.
any books on housekeeping, home economics, etc. which approach things through these lenses or which otherwise are aimed at helping survivors of childhood abuse learn how to adult without falling back on the models i grew up with would be immensely appreciated. videos, podcasts, and other media in this vein would likewise be great!
finally, if there are any other subreddits you know which might be relevant, i would love that too!
