hey peeps it's been a minute. in the last three months I moved cities and am currently trying to get all my new paperwork sorted for the new address. I'm also getting involved in some tenants organizing and looking for work. so busy time.

today I woke up in a lot of pain and almost went to the hospital before realizing it was just my body freaking out because I went several days without eating and then had a normal meal. fun stuff.

anyway I drew this mock up for a tarot card and thought I'd share it here. it's probably going to be an 8 of Hourglasses. the idea is that there's a central angel holding a pair of scales reminiscent of Justice with an hourglass on each side; one is open at the bottom and leaking sand, which the smaller angels around the periphery are catching and pouring into another large hourglass which is open at the top.

the Eights are all about movement, dynamism, progress, process, entrapment and escape. when one hourglass is full and the other is empty they'll flip orientations and the angels will transfer the sand back the other way.

the hourglass suit concerns themes of time, granularity, motion, resource management, dynamic states, potential and kinetic energy. other cards I have planned for this suit include winged hourglasses (time flys), hourglasses placed around ruins, someone filling up their hourglasses with sand at the beach, giant hourglasses the size of pyramids, hourglasses on the deck of a ship caught in a whirlpool, an hourglass in a council room with senators ladeling sentient sand into it, a hermit or monastic community living inside an hourglass (planning something similar for the Bells suit), and gravity bending hourglasses.
