Continuing to read The Books of Jacob. about 15% in and there's this multi chapter extended magical realism scene of an elderly jewish peasant woman on her death bed. she arrived at a house for a wedding and she's following backward and forward through the lives of her children and grandchildren and Eastern European Jewish mythology and it's all just so good.
