at their height, Nico’s people had built 247 ships, with 8 more somewhere between technically habitable and cruise-capable, that is too say, capable of exciting the Sol system. two of those last 8 still orbit Sol, one on the dark side of the moon (Earth’s quarantine remains in place) and the other tending to the legrange points of Venus and Mercury. 5 of the other crews were represented by their descendants on one or both of the surviving ships.

The Iris, the larger of the two quarantined Generationships remaining in the Sol system, and boasting 4/5 of humanity’s Sol Genship population, it stays close enough to Venus to harvest resources using remotes already in place on Venusian surface or constructed in it's orbit. a large astroid was atrifically piloted into that orbit and become a moon just a few thousand kilometers outside of the quarantine of the planet where personal are deployed. named Subpolar Antarctic after it's extreme cold, it is permanently in the planets penumbra, but is successfully being seeded with telapsychic squid.
