My parents are abusive people. you met them like once approximately 5 years ago. i don't talk about them with you because it's a hard topic to talk about. you shouldn't lecture people that they should talk to their families or reach out to their families.

i was not bothered that you passed on the fact that you got a call from my parents. they've reached out to other friends to get to me. they have also contacted my therapists trying to illegally get information from them on me. they've used the police to harass me. they have sent my godfather to lecture me about forgiving them for their abuse.

you have a very optimistic sense of what my family was like. for example, you say they chose to have and support a son. actually, my birth was the result of a compromise, one of my parents having not wanted a kid at all.
