I've had a pretty rough time recently. one of my closest friends passed away at the beginning of June

I've been reading a lot of books where grief is a central topic and that's been sort of a framework

writing some, taking care of my cats best i can, waiting out the heat wave by going nocturnal

reading Anamnesis: The Perpetual Train, maybe 4/5 through it, and approaching half way through Iron Council. the first part i was shaky, rushed maybe, i liked the revolutionary organizing in 2 , part 3 prior to Anamnesis felt idk very D&D, felt like it could be trimmed down and flow better which isn't a critique i usually have with Miéville, but Anamnesis so far is brilliant.
